Oil prices changed on the world markets.On NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) cost of the US Light crude oil increased $0.07 to stand at $53.09. Price of the Brent crude oil at the London ICE (Intercontinental Exchange Futures) decreased $0.07 to trade at $55.09.The price of a barrel of Azeri Light crude oil is sold for $55.42.

"Azerbaijan and Iran will organize reciprocal culture days in 2017," said Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev as he met with Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, co-chairman of Azerbaijan-Iran Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Mahmoud Vaezi.Garayev highlighted what has been done to develop tourism industry in Azerbaijan in recent years. He noted that Azerbaijan's rich culture, ancient history, Azerbaijani people's high hospitality as well as new tourism infrastructure and simplification of visa system contributes to increasing the number of tourists visiting the country. The minister said Iranian citizens make the majority of tourists visiting Azerbaijan.Garayev noted that Azerbaijani Culture Days are planned to be held in Iran's Tehran, Isfahan and Ardabil cities.

Israel’s Petroleum Council said on Wednesday it had approved the acquisition of 100 percent of the Karish and Tanin natural gas fields by the Greek company Energean Oil and Gas from Delek Drilling and Avner Oil for $148 million.According to Reuters, Delek Drilling and Avner, both subsidiaries of Delek Group, were required by the government to sell off the two tiny fields as part of an effort to open the gas market to more competition. Karish and Tanin, discovered in 2013 and 2011, respectively, off Israel’s Mediterranean coast, have gas resources of about 2.4 trillion cubic feet.Energean said on Wednesday that within six months it would submit to the Israeli authorities a development plan for both fields. The company intends to start production in 2020. Development of Karish and Tanin is expected to require an investment of $1 billion over the next few years, Energean said.
